Containing grounded hemp seeds, which are wonderfully nutritious, full of healthy fats and minerals, and are a great source of plant-based protein - this recipe provides around 11 grams of protein. Hemp seeds are alo a source of soluble and insoluble fibre which is good for digestive health.
This healthy treat is especially delicious with coconut yoghurt and topped with a good handful of berries.

2 heaped cups gluten-free rolled oats
2-3 heaped tbsp grounded hemp seeds (roughly ground for 5 minutes in a food processor)
2-3 heaped tbsp desiccated coconut
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp chia seeds
2 heaped tbsp virgin coconut oil
Drizzle hemp oil
Pinch salt
Pre-heat the oven to 180C
In a saucepan, warm the coconut oil with the cinnamon and stir in the oats. Add the salt
Continuously stir, for around 30 seconds then stir in the grounded hemp seeds
Stir in the desiccated coconut, followed by the chia seeds, give it a goos toss
Take off the heat and place and spread into a baking dish (9”x13”), bake in the middle setting of the oven for 15 minutes. Take out and give it a stir, bake for another 10 minutes, or until the oats turn a light golden brown (check every so often ensuring it doesn’t burn!)
Leave to cooler and mix in some hemp seed oil over. Place into an airtight jar and leave in room temperature for 1 to 2 weeks
